How many people or pets can I have?
As many as you'd like! Just keep in mind each addition to your portrait may delay the timeline since it takes longer to design & stitch.

How long does it take to get my portrait?
The general turnaround time from design to finished stitch is about 2 weeks for a two-person portrait. We'll go over a timeline via email once you submit your portrait, but even most large portraits of 6+ people can be completed within 4-6 weeks, if not sooner. If you need it faster, there are expedite options starting at $45.00 additional.

Do you ship?
I prefer to hand over your completed portrait to you, but if that's not feasible, I can ship your finished portrait to you! Estimated shipping charges would be added to your invoice.

I don't know what options I want - can you help?
Yes! Be sure to first check out the Upgrades page to check out examples. If you're still stuck, you have the option to pick "Help me choose!" as you place your order. We will go over the options together via email, and I can help you choose the best options for your portrait, no matter if you're stuck on fabric type, color, or framing.

I've lost someone; can they be included in my portrait?
There are several ways that we can include a departed loved one in your portrait. Some examples include stitching the person or pet with a halo, or with angel wings. If you prefer a symbolic representation, we could instead include balloons, butterflies, or a kite. Other possibilities include something that you associate with that person, like a flower or a bird. Another option is a technique that would allow the person or pet to look more ethereal - the fabric would show through the person or pet, showing that they're with you in spirit although not physically.
Because this can be very individual and personal, we will go over what you would like to see to ensure I capture your departed loved one in a meaningful way.

What if I don't like it?
I offer a money-back guarantee until the needle touches the fabric, meaning you can decide on changes (and potentially decide to not proceed) until I start stitching the piece. The only exception to this is if you request a custom-dyed piece of fabric - then the money-back guarantee extends until the dye touches the fabric.
You will receive a pattern proof to approve or request changes on. If there is something you don't like, I'll be happy to change it on the pattern! Because I cannot pattern realistic hair or fur, those will be depicted on the pattern as the general shape, but will look different (and better!) once stitched. Some shirts and dresses may also look different from what is patterned, but I will discuss those differences with you when I send the pattern proof.
